By now everybody has heard about the Trayvon Martin tragedy.

Newt Gingrich released a statement saying that he found the Presidents statement on Trayvon Martin disgraceful and appalling. What the FUCK is so disgraceful and appalling about "If I had a son, he would look like Trayvon". What the FUCK is so disgraceful and appalling about connecting to this tragedy on the most basic human level?

1. How do you eat your grits?

2. Teleprompters should be illegal.

3. Sarah Palin said Barrack Obama is trying to bring the United States back to the days before the civil war, when white people were held as slaves and repressed by black slave masters. Sarah Palin said it so it must be true.

How do fledgling democracies prevent voter fraud? They dye voter's fingers blue.

How does the United States prevent voter fraud? Well, the United States doesn't really have to prevent voter fraud because there is no voter fraud in the United States.

Pennsylvania has a bill before it's state legislature right now, which will probably be voted into law today. It's a bill like other bills introduced through out the country this past year making it necessary for a prospective voter to present a photo ID at the polling place.

When you're legislating against voter fraud where no voter fraud really exists, one could say that they're actually introducing voter suppression legislation.

So who in the United States doesn't have photo IDs? The elderly. The blacks. The hispanics. People who don't drive cars. Students. A higher percentage of the poor than the rich.

That's a lot of people who might not be able to vote in the upcoming general election this year.

Voter suppression.

Here it goes, I've been getting really nervous about this.

Look, I have an apology to make.

As a citizen of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, one of the original thirteen colonies of the United States of America....

I apologize for Presidential candidate Rick Santorum. I know some of the things he says are really quite extreme and scary. I just want the world to know that, well, we all aren't like him. He's not a good representation of Pennsylvanians or Americans.

Here on this blog I'll take stories and tidbits from the news and media and tell you what a regular, free-thinking (is there such a thing?) American thinks about them.

Cheers. crying crying
